OPM RugRats Grand Launch

It is with great pleasure that we announce the GRAND LAUNCH of the OPM RUGRATS on SUNDAY 24th FEBRUARY at 10am at King George V Playing Fields, Elburton, PL9 8HR.

This is a completely new section of OPM Junior Rugby and is for boys and girls in the foundation year at school or the pre-school year at nursery.

This group will be very little to do with rugby, but will focus on FUN and LAUGHTER while enjoying the fresh air and getting some healthy exercise. For the remainder of this season the sessions will be FREE. Normal junior section charges will apply when we start the new season in September.

If you, or any of your immediate family, know any appropriately aged children who would like to come along, please contact Dave Glastonbury on 07905 447323 or daveglastonbury@hotmail.co.uk to register. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Priority will be given to existing club members.

If you have any queries please contact Dave on the above number.

We look forward to seeing you on the 24th February to enjoy the fun and chaos without a computer in sight.

OPM RFC thanks Councillor Vivien Pengelly for her support

OPM RFC Junior and Senior sections had the pleasure of welcoming our local Councillor Vivien Pengelly to view the new OPM developments and facilities at Elburton. Vivien visited on Sunday to see a huge number of Juniors training on Sunday and walk through the new changing facilities and social area. She met many of our Junior Committee & coaches, new catering manager Val Noden and discussed our future plans and projects for the Elburton facility.

Vivien has been an active member of the OPM Family and supported us with many decisions undertaken by Plymouth City Council, with our Community engagement and with her recognition of our ongoing work by supporting us with Community grants when available including this season.

Vivien was very impressed with the recent developments undertaken and especially noted about the huge impact and benefits that this would have for the local community by providing an excellent facility for children of all ages to play rugby and exercise, have fun, learn the RFU values and enjoy the pitches and social area which are now available. She is looking forward to assisting us again this season and we would like to thank her for all of her efforts in supporting the OPM Family.
